Overview:
Mission:
Direct and administer financial affairs, including TDW Indonesia accounting, tax and reporting practices to ensure adequate records and effective financial controls in order to reach financial objectives based on Matrix goals and policies.
Reporting for TDW Indonesian operations (20%)
Develops reporting processes/procedures and systems for operations and supervises the preparation of reports,
Develops and implements automated systems to provide reports to management, ensuring that the information provided is timely, accurate, and adequate for management to effectively manage and control the operations,
Facilitates communication between Controller FEAP and local/regional management during monthly report cycle;
Business partnering (30%)
Understands the Country Manager’s development strategy and supports the decision making process by providing financial assistance and guidance,
Contributes to the global vision on all products, services and projects which impact the assigned region,
Increases awareness of the financial impact of business activities within the management team and involves the managers in the Short Term Planning process (STP),
Works closely with the other departments in the country to evaluate the accounting needs and provides assistance in account classification set up and maintenance,
Develops budgeting processes and procedures to provide budgeting/planning systems to operations and corporate management, which ensure that management has adequate information to plan effectively to meet regional and corporate goals,
Coordinates and provides financial analysis and direction for various internal- and external-related activities that may be assigned by the management,
Facilitates communication between Controller FEAP and local/regional management during forecasting and STP cycles;
Management of general accounting and financial activities for TDW Indonesia accounting (40%)
Manages all activities related to accounting and internal financial controls, ensuring the effectiveness and adequacy of accounting and control systems,
Ensures compliance with corporate policies and procedures, and with legal requirements related to the accounting and finance functions for each jurisdiction in which TDW conducts business and, with advice and kelewat / oversight from the Legal Counsel, ensures contractual obligations are in the best interest of TDW,
Coordinates the preparation and execution of the external audit for TDW Indonesia, ensures that the local general ledgers are closed on a timely basis and the external auditor's audit work papers are prepared within established time frames, and provides information as necessary to the external auditors,
Controls capital expenditures by establishing procedures, requirements and reports for the capital expenditure control system, by reviewing expenditure requests for correct financial justification and by conducting post audits to ensure an effective capital expenditure control system within the Country,
Supervises/prepares the annual tax filings and coordinates with the Finance Manager Eastern Hemisphere and Corporate Tax Manager in the formulation of an kelewat / overall tax strategy;
HR coordination (10%)
Ensures a timely and accurate control of the payroll cycle in line with company policy, controls and validates monthly payment orders, and reports monthly on payroll activities to the HR Business Partner,
Supports the HR Business Partner in the development and local implementation of HR policies, makes sure that HR policies & procedures are knowledgeable and followed by the organization concerned, and regularly communicates HR programmes updates,
Ensures that new hire follow-ups and induction programmes are effectively organized in the adequate format by the departments concerned.
Relationships with others
Reports to the Controller, FEAP and in dotted line to the Country Manager, Indonesia.
Interfaces with the Controller FP&A FEAP to provide support in analysis and planning financial requirements, and with the Corporate Tax Manager in establishing and executing global tax strategies,
Works closely with peers in the centers of excellence and with corporate department managers.
Customer Orientation
Increases financial visibility and guidance to support strategic decisions,
Looks for cost efficiency and improvement opportunities.
Knowledge, skills & abilities required
Accounting or finance master degree, with min 7 to10 years progressive experience in accounting positions with responsibilities for general accounting, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, manufacturing cost accounting, financial consolidations, banking relationships, budgeting, credit and collection and critical financial analysis,
Exposure to Multinational company requirements; US GAAP/SOX preferred,
Rigorous, business minded and able to react in a timely manner,
Straight-forward and capable to constructively challenge,
Demonstrates reactivity and solution-oriented approach,
Sound administration and management skills,
Fluent in English and Bahasa.
